On February 22, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, an Indian immigrant, was murdered by a another man who yelled “get out of my country” before he opened fire in a Kansas bar. Two other individuals were injured–Alok Madasani, an Indian coworker and friend of the deceased, and Ian Grillot, a bystander who tried to intervene in the shooting. For more details on the shooting and hate crime investigation, see this story from the New York Times.
President Trump has not yet spoken out against the bigotry that led to Srinivas Kuchibhotla’s death, nor has he condemned the many anti-immigrant acts of violence inspired by his xenophobic, nationalist rhetoric. Please contact the President and demand that he decry Srinivas Kuchibhotla’s murder and condemn racist, anti-immigrant violence.
