Today is International Women’s Day and also A Day Without a Woman, and here in Rockbridge County, it’s been an impressive week for women.

First, there was the amazing Women’s Rights Rally on Friday, March 3. If you weren’t able to be there, you can read Ellen Mayock’s Gender Shrapnel blog post about the event https://gendershrapnel.org/2017/03/05/protests-and-rallies-and-voices-oh-my/ , read the article by the Staunton News-Leader http://www.newsleader.com/story/news/local/2017/03/03/women-rally-rights-outside-cline-office/98681856/ or you can watch and read about the rally on WDBJ’s website: http://www.wdbj7.com/content/news/Crowd-gathers-for-womens-rights-rally-at-Cline-office-415369213.html.

As part of A Day Without a Woman, 50 Ways-Rockbridge members are teaming up with Project Horizon to help out at Lisa’s House. If you’re not able to attend, please consider donating here: http://projecthorizon.org/donations.php
