What do you want to know about health care reform?

Join us for a happy hour program with light refreshments as we welcome guest speaker Professor Gerard J. Wedig, PhD, from the Simon Business School at the University of Rochester.

Professor Wedig will present a Q&A session discussing the current and future state of health care. He will be posing and answering frequently asked questions from today’s hot topics and from the audience.

Bio information for Professor Gerard J. Wedig PhD:
*Received his PhD in economics from Harvard University.
*Professor at the Simon Business School, University of Rochester, since 2002.
*Taught at Boston University’s School of Management, the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business.
*Research focuses on the health economy, including the roles of asymmetric information, uncertainty, public finance and insurance. *His publications have appeared in The Journal of Finance, the Journal of Business, the Review of Economics and Statistics, Management Science, the Journal of Health Economics, Health Affairs and other journals.
*He has been the recipient of numerous research grants from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (formerly HCFA) and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
*Has consulted to numerous medical organizations including hospitals, HMO’s, physician groups, pharmaceutical firms and consulting firms on issues of health care finance.
