Join 50/50 Day, – when thousands of organizations, companies, schools, museums, libraries and homes will gather in a global conversation about what it will take to get to a more gender-balanced world in all sectors of society: business, politics, culture, home.
Everyone is invited to gather on Wednesday, May 10 at 5 pm at the Community Meeting Room at 2 South Main Street to watch a 20 minute film “50/50: Rethinking the Past, Present & Future of Women + Power” then engage in a discussion, which may include a global LiveCast Q & A with world thought-leaders on gender equality.
The event is sponsored by the women’s rights subcommittee of 50 Ways-Rockbridge, a group of local people working together to research, educate, and act on major political issues that affect all of the 50 United States, especially Virginia and our local area.
