As they state on their website, Planned Parenthood is an organization that believes in the fundamental rights of each individual to manage his or her fertility, regardless of the individual’s income, marital status, race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, age, national origin, or residence. Here are a few facts and statistics about Planned Parenthood.

    1. Formed over 100 years ago
    2. Provides accurate and reliable information about reproductive health
    3. Provides birth control, legal and safe abortion services, cancer screenings, and testing/treatments of STDs
  2. The Facts:
    1. Provides services for 5 million women and men, including LGBTQ individuals.
      1. 45% of their services are STI/STD tests and treatments
      2. 31% are contraception services
  • 13% are other Women’s Health services
  1. 7% are cancer screenings and prevention
  2. Only 3% are abortions services
  3. 1% are other services
  1. Of those 2.5 million patients…
